Educational Qualifications

To be eligible for the vacancy, Applicants are required to possess some educational qualifications as mentioned below:

Indian Economic Service (IES): Aspiring candidates for the IES must hold a Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics from a University founded by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or from other Educational Institutes founded by an Act of Parliament or claimed to be considered as University.
Indian Statistical Service (ISS): An aspirant for the ISS must have a Bachelor’s degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subjects or a Master’s degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a University established by an Act of the Indian Parliament or from other Educational Institutes established by an Act of Parliament or claimed to be considered as University.

Application Fees

The applicants are required to submit the application fee according to their categories as mentioned below:

The SC/ST/PWD and Female category applicants don’t have to pay any amount for the application.
Whereas the General category applicants are required to pay Rs.200/- as their application fee.

Age Limit

The Applicants are required to follow the age limit mentioned below during the recruitment process:

There is a lower age limit of 21 Years for the applicants preparing for the exam.
Whereas the Upper Age limit for the candidates will be 30 Years.
However, there will be some extra age relaxation according to the rules.
The applicant must be born between 1st August 1990 and 1st August 1999.

Selection Process

The selection of the candidates will be based on a Written Test and an Interview after the Personality Test and Documents Verification conducted by the authorities of the Union Public Service Commission.
